Job Title: Membership & Annual Giving Specialist
Salary Range: $55,000 - $62,000
Reports to: Director of Development

MISSION: For more than 50 years, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida has been a leading environmental advocacy organization dedicated to protecting Southwest Florida's water, land, wildlife, and future.

PURPOSE OF JOB: The Membership and Annual Giving Coordinator plays a crucial role in the growth and sustainability of our organization. In collaboration with the Director of Development, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to acquire, retain, and engage members and coordinate the Conservancy’s annual giving appeals for various programs. The coordinator will work closely with the Development and Marketing teams to support fundraising efforts and contribute to the overall success of our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership Program Management:
• Develop and execute strategies to attract new members.
• Retain and engage existing members through effective communication and stewardship.
• With direction from the Director of Development, plan and implement membership renewal campaigns.
• Monitor and analyze membership metrics to assess program effectiveness.
Annual Giving Campaigns:
• With support from the Director of Development and in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team, create and coordinate annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, online appeals, and donor events.
• Identify and cultivate potential annual donors.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, developing compelling fundraising materials and messages.
• Track and report on campaign progress and results.
Donor Cultivation and Engagement:
• Build relationships with donors, members, and potential supporters.
• Provide excellent donor stewardship through personalized communication and recognition.
• Organize donor cultivation events and activities related to Memberships.
Database Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and membership records with support from the database team.
• Utilize Altru fundraising software to track gifts, donations, and member information.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with the Development team to integrate membership and annual giving strategies into overall fundraising efforts.
• Work with Marketing and Communications teams to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate regular reports on membership and annual giving performance for the Director of Development and Vice President.
• Use data and analytics to refine strategies and improve results.
Budget Management and Other Tasks:
• With support from the Director of Development, develop and manage budgets for membership and annual giving initiatives.
• Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective strategies.
• Other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications).
• Proven experience in membership program management and annual giving campaigns.
