Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour

PURPOSE OF JOB: This is a part-time, contracted position for 3 months, working 3-days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The Grants Administrative Assistant is being contracted for a special project to assist with updating and improvement of the document management process for the Grants Department.

The Grants Administrative Assistant will assist the Grants Coordinator with the:
• Verification, cross-check, and confirmation of documents in all electronic portals. Files are to be transferred as necessary to the respective folders on the Grants drive.
• Verification of all constituent folders on the Grants drive to ensure they contain the following documents for each respective year:
   - LOIs or Letters of Request
   - Applications
   - Award notifications
   - Thank You letters
   - Reports
• Archiving process of old files— electronic and paper
• Performance of any other grant-related administrative tasks as needed.

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) from two-year College or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two or more years of office support experience in business with working knowledge of general office procedures and effective writing and typing skills.
• Excellent professional phone skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong grammar and proof reading skills preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and the ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
• Very proficient in use of office automation and the internet as a resource for information gathering and productivity. Specifically, able to demonstrate high user ability in the following: MS Office Suite, focusing on Word (advanced), Excel (advanced), Outlook, and Internet Explorer, with knowledge of PowerPoint a plus. Proficient in Windows 2000, Microsoft Word essential.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize needs.
• Interest in the mission of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, desirable.
• Experience working in nonprofit environment a plus.
